1Where do I begin?
Yoga Hook have experienced Yoga Instructors to help you find the right class for your specific needs. They can tell you about all our Classes, Instructors and Special Events.

We run a range of classes for Beginners which are detailed on our website. If you are unsure of your ability or what type of Yoga Class would suit you, please contact us. Alternatively, you can visit the studio to have a look around and speak to one of our Instructors.
2Do you offer discount for first-timers or beginners?
We offer a range of class options for first-timers. All details are available on under our Classes section. We also send various offers in our Bi-Monthly Newsletter, so sign-up to receive these.
3What do the different classes involve?
Class descriptions are available in the Classes section of the website or visit the studio and speak to one of our Yoga Instructors to help decide which class would be suitable for you.
4How do I pay for class?
You can purchase all classes and packages that we have from our website. Alternatively, you can also book and pay in the Studio.
5What do I need to bring and what should I wear?
You will need a mat or we have mats which you can hire which are cleaned and sanitised after every class.

Additional props such as bricks, blocks, bolsters and straps are provided to support you if needed.

Shoes and socks are not worn when practising yoga. You should wear something comfortable that allows you to move and stretch in. Wear something that can help to keep you cool as you may get hot in a class. You can also bring something to keep you warm when you slow down at the end of the class for relaxation.
6Do I need to book a Class in Advance?
We have a spacious studios so it is normally fine to drop-in to a class and pay when you arrive. But you may find it easier to book in advance to avoid disappointment.
7Can I eat before a yoga class?
Yoga can be uncomfortable if practising on a full stomach, so try and eat at least 2 hours before a class. If you need to eat closer to the class, have a light snack such a banana, energy bar.
8What Facilities do Yoga Hook Have?
Yoga Hook has changing and showers facilities.
9Where can I leave my belongings?
We have lockers in the changing rooms.

Belongings cannot be taken into the studios or left in the reception area. Yoga Hook do not take responsibility for your items, so please lock them away.
10Do you offer Privates classes?
Private Yoga Classes are perfect for a tailored introduction to yoga or to work on specific needs. Please contact us to discuss the options we have available or book a session.
11Which classes will be appropriate for me?
Details of all our classes can be found in the Classes section of the website or visit or call the studio and speak to one of our Yoga Instructors.
12What if I have an injury or medical condition?
As with any exercise, you should always consult your doctor first and inform the Yoga Instructor before the class starts. Feel free to contact us so we can direct you to the classes that are more injury friendly. You may want to consider a Private Yoga Class to work one-to-one with an Instructor who will help you to adapt your Yoga practice to accommodate for your injury.
13What if I am pregnant?
You should always consult your doctor before attending a class. If you are an expectant mother, let reception and your Instructor know before class. Our Yoga Instructors may be able to offer other classes which would be suitable to your needs.
14Are there any age limits?
Yoga is for everyone, however, children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Please inform our Yoga Instructor if someone under 16 is hoping to attend a class so we can check that the teacher is happy to have a child attend their class.

There is no upper age limit on yoga but do consult a Doctor if you feel that you need to check anything.
15I’m not flexible. Can I do yoga?
Absolutely. You will find that Yoga will help with your flexibility, mobility and strength.
16What Styles do You offer?
We have classes for all, from beginners to relaxing to experienced. All classes are detailed in the Classes section of the website.
17What is the best class pack for me?
This depends on how frequently you plan on practising Yoga. Take a look at the Prices page to see the range of packages we offer.
18Can I share my class passes?
Class Packages cannot be shared. You can however buy a pass for someone else.
19Are there discounts available?
Check out our Prices section to find out if you are eligible for a discount or speak to one of our instructors.
20Can I extend my class pack?
Prior to expiry or no later than 1 week after expiry of your Flexi Pass, you may extend any unused classes from that series for 4 additional weeks from the expiry for a payment for £15. You may only extend your pack once.
Monthly packs or Annuals packages cannot be extended but Annual and 6 month class packs may be “suspended” twice a year (for a maximum of one month each time). Monthly and 3 month memberships may not be “frozen”.

22Do you sell food or drink?
We sell nutritious beverages and snacks – perfect for a light pre-practice snack or post-practice refueling! We also sell bottles of water.
23Do you sell yoga Clothing?
We stock a wide range of yoga wear from many different brands. We have yoga clothing for both men and women.
24What are the benefits of practising yoga?
Regular practice of yoga poses known as asanas will increase stamina, strength mobility, and flexibility.
25Who is yoga suitable for?
Yoga is open to everyone—young, old, flexible, stiff, men and women, sporty or less active..
